1994 Saturn sc2

Starts fine, but after it warms up, when I push on the gas while I am driving it sputters and acts like it wants to die. If I push the gas all the way down it will go, but if I am slowly accelerating it chuggs and bucks. Idles fine. I replaced the ECTS, checked the fuel pressure, 40 when I turn the key on, turned it off and it stayed there for 10 min or more. Started it let it warm up, runs at about 34, unless I push the throttle then it goes to 40 and no missing. No service engine light comes on. Next check was going to be the crankshaft position sensor or throttle position sensor. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: 1994 Saturn sc2

Do cleaning and maintenance on the EGR and throttle body that houses the TPS and the IACV. Both units are held on with 10mm bolts with both having other connectors, vacuum hoses and accelerator cable to take off before being able to be remove. Both have gaskets that are not expensive and may not have to be replaced.

Plan on a good can of carb cleaner and some old tooth brushes to do a good job. Ensure the pintle on the EGR operates freely and seats properly.

Your CPS is generally an all or none with failure incidated by the car not able to start.
