88 LeSabre stalling

Hey guys, my buddy picked up an 88 LeSabre for the demo derby. It was running fine when he brought it home. after a few months of it sitting in his back yard, he boosted the car and applied the brakes and it shut off. The car started back up with no problems. He touched the brakes and same thing. So he put the car in neutral and started it like that then put it in drive and moved it fine, but as soon as he touched the brakes it stalled. Does anyone know what is causing this? Thanks in advance, Deven.

Re: 88 LeSabre stalling

Low battery/alt output usually, the slight extra load from the brake lites can lower the voltage and kill it.

I was talking to him and he said that he tried it both ways; with the cables hooked up and without. I am going over there this weekend and we will put a fully charged battery in it and see what happenes. I'll keep yu guys updated! Thanks, Deven.
