first car buyer needs advice!

Ok... Im a 17 yr old looking to buy my first car. My mum is trying to persuad me into buying 1980 model celica. It runs fairly well, though has no power stearing but i've driven it and it not such a problem. Is this a bad choice for a first car?? Does anyone know anything about this model, im very overwhelmed!! Im not sure whether to buy the car

Re: first car buyer needs advice!

If its been taken care of well, then it may be a worthy buy. It's 27 years old, though, maybe a 90 celica is a little better.
