2001 suburban rear climate control problems

The rear ventilation system just blows hot air, it is a electronic climate control, it doesn't matter where i set the temp. it blows out hot. The front works just fine. Anybody have any idea's???????? THANKS

I had the same problem in my 96 Suburban. It was the expansion valve in the back AC unit. It was about $300 three years ago.

The valve that Da Burb mentioned has been an issue with some people. Try a search and you'll probably find more information on that.

With my Tahoe the condensate drain line for the rear AC was clogged. The carpet in the cargo area was soaked and the rear AC didn't blow cold. The drain empties from the cargo area just above the tailpipe. It's about 1-inch rubber wedge. Pinch it a few times and see if water starts pouring out.

I had that problem last summer, and I have already checked that. Thanks, I will have to check into the expansion valve idea!

Just a update-Had to have the acuator replaced in the rear ac unit-working great now-total cost $220.00 with labor
