I have a Vortec 454 engine in my 1998 GMC Suburban. It dies frequently when driving. The fuel pump and relay was replaced a week before I started having this problem, and it was working great. After it dies, it is able to start back up instantly. I just replaced the throttle position sensor, and am still having the same problem. I had a mechanic tell me it might be an electrical problem turning the fuel pump off. Do you know what the problem is? Please and Thanks.

Re: '98 GMC Suburban K2500, fuel problems
Welcome to AF. Not really enough info to diagnose an intermittent stall and restart, if this did not happen till the FP was replaced I'd retrace the work done during that repair. BTW we have a dedicated sub. forum in the Chev truck area. There have been problems with burnt connectors at the pump harness at the tank.
