Re: Manifold Replacement

Soak it all down with PB Blaster the night before. You'll thank yourself. But, when you say replacing your manifolds.. do you mean that as in your putting on some LT headers? Not sure about the A/C. I know on my 3.4 I had to unmount the compressor from the accessory bracket and push it down as far as I could to get it to go to get it out of the way. Never had to disconnect the lines to it.

Re: Manifold Replacement

Don't need to remove the heads to do exhaust manifolds. In fact to remove the heads, you need to first remove the manifolds.

Re: Manifold Replacement

i did this on my old camaro, didn't have many problems.
had no a/c though.
plus i soaked it so nothing broke.
you can get gaskets from summit super cheap.
or your local pep boys.
i don't know what to do with those broken bolts though.

Re: Manifold Replacement

Soak it all down with penetrating oil (PB blaster, WD-40, etc), get the manifolds off. Then if there is enough bolt sticking out from the broken ones, use vicegrips to remove them. Again.. YOU MUST SOAK THE BOLTS WITH PENETRATING OIL FIRST!
