'93 Tranny Issues

Transmission slips when cold and once it warms up it shifts very hard from 1st to 2nd. All other gears fine and no trouble codes. Fluid and filter have been changed. New vacumm modulator also and no vacumm leaks. It has 173,000 miles on it. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Internal slippage due to leaking seals that expand some when the fluid is warm, impending overhaul.

Time for a junkyard tranny i guess. I can get one with 60,000 miles for $300 and a 3 month guarantee. Im gonna do the work myself. I assume a rebuild is pretty expensive for these piece of crap trannys.
