"Klunk" from front right wheel

on my 98 grand cherokee laredo, ever time i make a left hand turn or go over a bump i hear a "klunk" sound from the front right wheel. could this possibly be a bad CV joint? help me out here.

Probably a loose suspension part; shock, bushings etc.
Jack it up and check the wheel and suspension for excessive play.
