Rim dimensions?

I been trying to get some nicer aftermarket wheels for my 94 2door grand prix. Couple of things I am not sure of for this car. What is the size of the bolt pattern for the lugs? And what offset/dimensions should I be looking for as to not put any extra stress on the hubs, bearings, suspension? What is stock?

Thanks
Andy

Re: Rim dimensions?

Anybody happen to know if the rims off of a 97 GTP will fit on my 94? I called the local pontiac dealer and he seemed to think they will, but didnt sound too convincing.

Re: Rim dimensions?

The bolt pattern for '97 and up Grand Prixs is 5 X 115mm. Stock wheel offset is high around 52mm.

Depending on which 94 model GP you have I see two different bolt patterns. Either 5 X 100mm or 5 X 115mm. Take a mm tape measure and measure the distance between the stud spacing to be sure.

Re: Rim dimensions?

Bob...I looked into this and i am not finding the bolt pattern on this. Any luck on your side. I have seen this kind of wheel on a 93 before. I bet you if he called NTB or a place like that, they might know. What do you think. Im out of answers on this one.

Re: Rim dimensions?

Hey man, thanks for the help, but really dont sweat it too much. They are just wheels. I stumbled on another auction for the same kind of wheel that had it listed as 5 X 115, so Im going to asume fairly surely that this is the case, and newer wheels will fit without any real problems. As you mentioned the offest is about double on the newer grand prixs than it is on mine. (52 as compared to I think 25). I dont think this will cause any real problems, as long as I have no clearance issues.

Thanks again
Andy

Re: Rim dimensions?

I hope this helps. According to the guys at Tire rack, the offset on my 02GTP is 52mm, just as bnaylor reported. It’s good to see that info confirmed from reliable source.

From my scratching around, I believe that the factory wheels are.. 16 x 6.5 with +52mm offset

What I didn’t realize is. Tire Rack guarantees that the wheels they supply will fit your car, whatever they select out for vehicle. This is not a plug for their website, but I have been very happy with my purchase from there….
