chiquae got some races

this race was about 2 weeks ago, when it was sooo nice outside. was on my way to work and saw a ricer civic pulling out of his drive way. this civic was a early 90's coupe. he had the door guards, the spoiler, mirrors, door handles and the wipers painted a nasty bright orange like in the supplied pic. i saw wow and keep on going. apparently he caught up to me. got up to a light maybe 1/4 miles away and he was next to me in front. i rev and look at him, he opens his window and says what for? i say cuz honda sucks. i just wanted a race lol. but i rev it up to about 3500 and hold, he revs and holds, light turns green and i launch by neutra droppin. tires spin just enough to not bog and i get a car on him. it stayed that way till 65 and i let off. gave him a thumbs up, and turned to go to work.

same place, i run into a black civic hatch. same thing occurs, and i rev up. and he revs back this time. hold it to about 3400 and launch. he got me on the launch by 1/2 a car, but when i hit my powerband(4500-7k) i reeled him in and came even. shifted into 2nd and it stayed even till i hit 5.5k and pull a nose. we stopped at 70. gave a thunmbs up and asked him what he had done to it. he said I/H/E. he asked what i had, and just I/E. good run either way.

i raced my cousin again. but this time i have my cai and my cat back installed. we were both leaving work. got stopped at a light and it was on. i reved up, he did too. i held it at 4k, and he diddnt rev up, as he has traction issues. light turned green, and i pulled 3 cars on him through 1st gear. 2nd gear hes catchin up but not my much. we shut down at 75, where i win by 1 1/2 cars. says he cant floor it in first because of traction issues i think he just doesnt know how to feather the throttle.

i raced my other cousin's integra ls. we were both leaving the house from the cousin with the legend. it went from a 35 roll. honked us down and i pulled by a car to 45. shifted into second and made it 2 cars to 70. gave him a friendly rev, as i was turning off towards home. he called me later and said what did you do now to your car. just cai, and cat back as i told him before.

and before anyone says anything, im manually shifting the auto. well, kinda, just allowing it to go to 7k instead of 6600.

i swear, if you want races, get exhaust lol.

Nice kills. I sure hope the Hondas you raced aren't as ugly as the ones in the pics above. Haha. Sounds like you have a sweet little Honda killer.

That's true about the exhaust, it's like an unwritten code thing. It shows you're ready to race, sometimes it shows you're ready to lose.

...I've been there.

Re: chiquae got some races

Glad to see you got some races in but I would highly reccomend that you do not neutral drop your transmission. Believe I am the king of breaking shit and that is one fine way to do it.

Re: chiquae got some races

^^^^ I agree. Nothing could be worse then dropping into gear at higher rpm's in an automatic...I think you could get the same effect by just brake/gas launch. Thats the way I do it. I get it to about 1700rpm and take off kinda easy so not to spin to much and then I hammer it to the floor.....

Nice races....My brother had one of those Acura Legends and it was pretty damn fast. It had the Type II motor in it paired with a 6 speed manual. I'm pretty sure it was a 94 or 95. In any case it was a nice ride....

Chique! You do know neutral dropping is a no no right? Why are you persisting on killing the Sentra?

Re: chiquae got some races

i persist on killing the sentra, because the car is under full insurrance. hate to say it, but thats where insurrance is a plus. i'll get a new auto tranny with lsd for about 350. hell, i should have the guys insurrance that hit me give my a new paint job, since that guy hit me awhile back, but i dont want my premium to go up just yet.

hell, if i gas-brake it, it goes up to 2800 and i bog unless i actually take air out of the tires to about 23psi opposed to 35 that i normally do. maybe thats something i need to do. i launch better that way then the 4k drop. but that might change with the rotas that should be going on next week, provided that i get my hub centric rings in time, and it doesnt randomly snow during the week like this past wednesday. the snow is still on the ground, but its 50 here. go firgure.

Nice kills man...
I just don't know about that 1st picture of the civic... If not for the color and the window stickers, I really don't see anything wrong with it.
Looks pretty clean to me...
