94 electrical problem

I am having some problems with my dash electrical . Can anyone help me?
It's kinda weird I can only play my stereo with my headlamps on. If I don't turn on my lights The stereo and the code service/mileage screen thing keeps flashing off and on and off and on..haha. Kinda funny Also when in park I have to turn on my interior lights in order to play my stereo. My door open bell sounds like its ticking also. Thank you in advance ...Aloha

Check the battery and clean the connecter cables - take them off and clean the posts also.

Thank you for the response. I have installed a new battery and terminals already and the problem still occurs. When I turn on my lights to play the stereo and the moment I open my door the stereo shuts off.

I think you have gremlins or ghost, lol.

Seriously though, sounds like a short somewhere.
