turn signal issue

when i turn on my left turn signal, it stays lit and it doesnt flash or blink. but when i use my right turn signal it blinks like a normal one just really slow. i havent check the fuses or the turn signal arm on the steering wheel yet about the only thing i have done is change the light bulb because i have no idea what im doing.. any iderrs?

Re: turn signal issue

your year GP (88 by your profile) uses a thermal flasher. When a bulb is burnt out, it will stop flashing on that side as a way to let you know. Check all the bulbs front and back (most have 2 elements, one dimmer for the running lights, one brighter for the brake/turnsignal) on the left side before digging into it further.
