shifting and ignition

i have a '94 pgt, and its a manual. When i try to start it, it seems like something in the ignition is slipping and it wont start unless i try a couple times. When i finally get it started and i try to put it in gear it wont go, it feels like somethings in the way, its not because i dont have the clutch all the way in, its to the floor. Does anyone know what i can do?

this may be way off but....i believe the probes have a hydraulic clutch. if you get air in the lines (possibly just from lots of use or age) it can make your clutch act all funny. if this is the case, then even though you push the clutch pedal in all the way, it may not actually be moving the clutch the full amount. this would explain your issues with starting and shifting. try bleeding the line and see if it helps any.
