door lock problem on 00 4runner

My doors will not lock with the remote or from any of the door panels. The doors will unlock though which is confusing. I can manually lock them but it's been a couple of months now and it's getting old. I've learned having a Toyota doesn't mean that you won't have problems because we have had nothing but that since we've had it. Any advice on how to fix? We've given the dealership so much money it's not funny anymore and I refuse to give them $100 just to look at it. My husband does not know anything about cars but he did take the control panel out and he said there were no wires it was using magnets? Any help is appreciated

Try The FAQ Posts and The Other Posts Marked IMPORTANT, they have service manuals that will show you what your up against and May show you how to repair it . Theres also Another Post called Power Door Lock Problem, check it out alot of people have replied to it. That Post is on this page also.
