Italian red.

but, why not try Hiroboy's zero paint range? he can mix the exact colour as used by Ferrari, and the paint is much easier to work with than TS sprays.

Tamiya Italian Red is a nearly identical match to Ferrari red. TS 16 Yellow is a nearly identical match to Ferrari yellow.

Don't forget that in fact you can order a Ferrari in any color you want so.....anything goes

In theory, yes. In practice...well...my friend ordered a 599 GTB Fiorano, starting with placing his "order" back in 2001 when he took delivery of his 550 Maranello. He ordered his Fiorano in a dark blue Audi color, he wanted the exact same color as his wife's S8. They sent color samples three times (painted shapes similar to what you see in a Ferrari display) and all three times the paint didn't match the Audi, so he opted for a "standard" Ferrari metallic gray since he wasn't satisfied w/their attempts at blue. Perhaps the Italians were miffed at having to match a German color?

Funny story-there was a beautiful 456 GTB at the annual Eurofest Car Show at the BMW museum in South Carolina. It was painted in what looked exactly like BRG to my eyes. I commented "wow, a Ferrari in BRG-it looks great!" within earshot of the owner. He quickly (in a friendly/amused fashion) corrected me, proclaiming that it was "ITALIAN racing green!"

Yep: at Maranello there're a couple of crew that as a job have just to do color's sabotage to anyone ask custom color from VW (don't forget at least that Porsche is a part of the VW world ) since with a PPG chart is almost impossible do a wrong match. Or maybe was audi's guys to do a wrong colors in Germany? LOL

Considering the paint codes that every paint supplier has, I can only conclude that the factory paint sample guys were clearly using "resale red" pink primer under the blue paint

At least he didn't specify French Racing Blue. That would really create an international incident

I've seen pictures of the Daytona seats they made for the car before they were installed, they came out "molto bello"

we're used to call "molto bella" cool german and french girls that come here in the seaside (well we have almost 300+ degrees of seaside LOL) before the martini, the pizza, the beers+++, the JD+++ and before... well all know it... italians do it better LOL not just only dayto seats RRRROFFFL

At least the gag of the resale pink primer is very cool: may be true LOL

Er, actually I think it's more accurate to say that the VW group are part of the Porsche family now

i wonder what would happen if you asked them to paint it lambo orange, given the history of ferrari and lamborghini, and the fact lamborghini is now owned by audi...

Back to the original question (sorry...)

Rotatox, even if you're in Aus, Steve can get the paint to you. No harm in enquiring. And he's lightning fast!
