Skyline GT(X) 3X engine in 240-260-280.

Hi all

First of I just want to clarify I did try search function but it said something about a sq-lots-of-details problem.

Back to topic. Buddy of mine once rented a apartment in a town not far away from here. And this man had bought a Nissan Datsun 260 (I think.) And I can`t remember model either

Anyways, this man also bought a Nissan Skyline GTR 34 engine (I donno that for sure either .) And said he was going to put it into his 260..

Is this by any way possible?

Cheers

anything's possible... however the rb series swap into the early z's is easier to do than some, due to them having the straight 6 setup from the factory... i'm not sure how the tranny's line up, there will probably need to be custom mounts all around, but it is very possible, and done more than most other swaps (aside from v8's and sr20's perhaps)

I see, what about all the electronics that has to be switched as well? the "brain", the sensors and all that stuff?

Asked my buddy today, it was a R32 engine this man put into his 240 model. Went straight on the gearbox.. Even had room for the Turbo and the Intercooler.

Cheers

the ECU from the skyline will need to be used... so if you can get your hands on an un-cut wiring harness and the correct ecu, you should be golden
