1993 Jimmy issues..........whats new :)

Hey since buying my 94 Bravada I dont drive the jimmy everyday but my wife does and she has been telling me that it dies sometimes randomly and at stop signs it seems like it wants to die then she gets going and its fine, today it would not stay running, I smelled gas in front and let it sit, then it started but was throttling like someone was fluttering the gas pedal, I let it run then turned off, let sit for 20 min then started again and was fine, I put new nut kit and fuel press reg on it last year, and the tuneup plugs, wires, dis cap& rotor new fuel filter, also last year had distributer replaced so dont know if fuel pump is not pumping enough psi or the spider assembly is going out, seems to run a little rough.....dunno. BTW I hate Vortecs soooooo bad!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the input.


P.S when I was having issues with my jimmy last year before I installed nut kit the fuel pressure was checked and was fine so dunno.

could be a vacuum leak. have u checked the fuel pressure to see if it fluctuates and/or has enough psi?

Well I have not had it tested lately but last time it was fine, may have to check again.

I was having the same problem. Turned out the spyder was bad.
