2006 Chevy Camaro Concept

Yes, I know Scarface199 posted his orange Camaro but I wanted to show you what it's like off the box with no mods...

Re: 2006 Chevy Camaro Concept

What did you expect from a Jada?

Glad you like the pics.

Scarface, did you have to take off the light to clear them or can you do them from the outside?

Re: 2006 Chevy Camaro Concept

I dont really remember if the red was on the outside or the inside of the light... but I took them off to do it.. and i used nail polish remover to get the red off. I am thinkin about dechroming this car.. well some of it.. I still dont understand why jada put the orange on the door panels..
Oh and a little FYI.. if you take the car apart.. and take the wheels off.. you can take the break rotors off.. to reveal extra holes in the chassis to lower the car.. I will take some pics and post them.. hold on.. they will be up in about 10-15 minutes.

not a big deal.. but the camaro that i posted was kandy red.

If you are talking about the engine.. i did some research.. and the engine looks EXACALLY like that.. but more of a brushed aliminum look.. so all you need to change that is some Testors aluminum paint in the little glass jars..
I am about to do that and i will post pics tomorrow.
here is my refrence pic.. YES THIS IS THE REAL ENGINE!

Re: 2006 Chevy Camaro Concept

wow, i really like these cars... I just picked this up in red at Target and this thing is HUGE! i mean compared to my other models it looks way out of scale. im goin to try to lower it. those holes were already there?

its pretty badass though

Re: 2006 Chevy Camaro Concept

yes the holes are already there.. there is a extra piece that is there for the skinnier tires.. they used the same chassis for the BTM camaro concept so they added a little piece of plastic to make it not tubbed in the back or "wider" in the front... and behind thoes plates lies the "lost holes"
But yeah.. on the scale thing.. Jada tends to do that all the time.. these cars about be like 1:17th scale about.. thats what it seems like to me.
gonna be finished detailing the engine like the real one tomorrow and I will post some pics.

Re: 2006 Chevy Camaro Concept

this is my version on the engine without all the chrome.. I still got some details to add.. but I ran out of the paint.. and need a smaller brush.

No, not just the engine, also the steering wheel, accelerator, brake pedals etc. and the real engine looks quite different from hobbes' model. This model is good as is, but the chrome parts (besides the wheels) were just way overdone IMO.

BTW I have a question for you all chevy fans.... Is this concept really going to make it to production? I think this is the best looking Chevy besides the Corvette!!!

If I'm not right, the expected date should be around the end of 2008. It's a 100% go from GM...
