Its sad that he lost his life, he was my favorite driver and that was heartbreaking to see him lose his life right in front of everyone.

So help me out here, when did the front ends of the cars start to look like that? I stopped watching NASCAR in the late 90s (When I got sick of the direction it was going). I heard something about a universal template, is that nose the result? They all seem have that 'lip' in front of the headlights.
