1994 Bronco Beeping...?

Hi...I have a 94 Bronco 5.8L V8 and for some reason everyonce in awhile after I start it it beeps. It sounds like a back up warning beep on big trucks and it comes from a box with the part # F4TF-14B056-AA, and name F-Series Black Housing. Its some kind of electrical compenent. We took it out and the truck still runs...any ideas what this is? Also, the gas gauge has recently stopped working. But its the only one not working. Does anyone know where to find a new tailgate or parts for the opening mechanism? It broke the other day and now you cant open it. Any help would be great.
