Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

Got some spare time this month, so I start building this ferrari. It's by fujimi and in 1/16. Body painted in Italian red. Seat's red area are flat bright red. This time the A-pillar are painted in black.

With the doors on

Engine shot. Need more detail and PE part for the intercooler. The IC are just horrible.

Sitting next to the 1/24 288 gto. It's fujimi too.

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

Looks fantastic, but the turbos don't look like they are in scale, or are the correct shape.

I have the 1/24 kit, and in that one they look correct.

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

Fantastic work, but Ive found with that kit that the wheels are waaaayyyyyy out of scale. I had one of these but never even started it because of this. Do the wheels seem much to small to you?

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

Yes, the rims are too small. I'm trying to put the F40 rims on it, but I need another extra set.

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

I have never seen such a great work on FUjimi 1/16 as yours!!
Stunning body paint works and it gives this "hard to be build decent model" great looking!!
(Sorry for late replying, since I am new here and saw this thread now)

Have you uploaded the completed one on thread?? I really want to see it!!

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

What kind of paints did you use to paint the engine parts? I'm new to model building and want to start with this model (Fujimi 1/24 288 GTO) but don't know what kind of paint to buy.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO

Nice progress so far. Do the doors fit all right or did they need work to fit?

@Enzoenvy1: Acu Stion makes the PE set for it (1/24th scale).
