My car's ABS light has been on since I bought it over seven months ago and I havent had a problem until recently.
I noticed on wet roads, sandy roads, or in emergency-stop situations my Rear, Right brake will lock up. On slippy surfaces it barely takes any effort to do this, and it's only that wheel. Should I replace the hub ABS bearing? The ABS doesn't work (at least I've never noticed it working) and I don't know if it's because of this hub sensor fouling causing the whole system to not work... Does anyone know how to check this without bringing it to a dealer? Where do I look to see if the computer is throwing a code? Thanks a lot! Dan

Re: Wheel Locking Up (ABS Light ON)
You need to get this on an abs function scanner look at the codes, check comparative wheel speed inputs for a possible bad wheel speed sensor.

Re: Wheel Locking Up (ABS Light ON)
So... basically spend the 80 bucks for a dealer to check it out...
