air conditioner (92 tsi awd)

Well, since I bought the car in the winter, the person I bought the car from got away with not telling me the air conditioner had a problem..

It doesnt get cold so I..

Charged it with a R12 substitute that my mechanic said was like cocaine for a/c's and it blew cold air but, the cold air went away approximately 3-5 days after the charge..

Do think my compressor/entire system is shot?.. Or do I have a leak? I know that replacing the compressor is very expensive and i'm praying it's a leak.

Any feedback/similiar incident expierence would be greatly appreciated..Thanks.

Re: air conditioner (92 tsi awd)

Well if it goes away a couple days later, I'm guessing you have a leak somewhere.
