Took out an MS4

Well the title sounds kinda cocky....lol...but if u knew the guy i beat then u would know why i said it like that...lol....Went home for the past 2 weekends trying to race a buddy of mine but the weather didnt agree untill earlier on sunday. Our cars are pretty much the same except for year(me 00Z and his 99SS) and cam size (me patriot 226 : him MS4) my stall is 3400 and his 3800...i have duals and he has SLP LM2 catback.....im on stock LS1 intake and he has an LS6 intake. We are both on TSP mail order tunes aswell. Both had drag radials too.....Now to the racing...We raced twice from a stop and on the first one we both had a lil traction issues and were both pedaling it but i jumped out and kept what i thought as a 1.5 car lead but after watching the video it looks like 2.5-3 cars...So we went again and we both hooked pretty good this time and i got him by about 1.5 and unfortunately the camera man wasnt ready to video and missed this one......Ill try and get it posted as soon as my friend can put it on his PC and send it to me.

Those MS4 cams are HUGE. Nice kill. Sounds like you 2 have some decently built cars.

Re: Took out an MS4

yeah the ms4's are huge but as you proved power under the curve will go farther. Maybe not make the same peak hp but will pull on it all day long. Thats why im not going crazy with my cam. Doesnt do anything for me.

Yea my holeshot and midrange are pretty strong and i pull away imediately but im sure from a roll the story might be much different. He dosent make his power till 45k-65k or so and im already pulling from 3k up till 6300. I was in the power way earlier but he was starting to pull me back in on the topend.

Yea thanks man....thats really like 1/2 of our cars...the club was started down in south Texas with some of the local guys, and now it has strecthed to northwestern Texas. Most of our northwestern cars arent on there yet. I havent had time to update the site. Its mostly and F-body deal but we have 1 goat.

Re: Took out an MS4

Good job. I think too large of a cam is kinda counter productive. It doesn't sound like his car is breathing well either, as I heard no mention of long tube headers on either car.
