1999 CRV stalling after tuneup

My 1999 CRV ran fine for a week after a do it myself tune up (new plugs, distributor, rotor and plug wires). Now it is stalling out when its cold. Also my gas mileage has dropped considerably. Any thoughts?

Re: 1999 CRV stalling after tuneup

It could be the valves after reading some other threads. I also left out that it has 112,000 miles and has the original 02 sensors. The check engine light has never come on. I was wondering if those could be the problem? After looking at the price of them I don't want to just install them just to see if that will fix the problem.

If the o2 sensors were bad it would definitely have turned on the check engine light on. I'd go with the valve adjustment.

It's the valves. Get them adjusted ASAP. Shouldn't cost you over $100 to have them done
