belt noise
Hi,I ve got a 2005 trailblazer 4.2 lt, and got a problem with my fan belt. I changed the tensionner, the idler pulley the fan, clutch all on warranty still making the noise(squeking). Seem the belt get wear fast (on each side). Anybody heard something about that ?? tomorrow they gonna change the crankshaft pulley will see.When I put a new belt on i'm good for a few months, then it s starts again ......!!

An odd one indeed. Could be the crank, alternator, power steering or a/c compressor pullies. Sounds like everything else has been replaced! I don't know why, but GM serpentine belt setups always seem to be the noisiest and shortest lived. Fords, Chrysler and imports I've owned were always more trouble free in regards to this.
