It was a magazine comparison, they drove the Veyron and compared it to a previous article containing the McLaren. They then stitched two pictures - original with Veyron and donor picture with the F1 - together and presented it here.

This wallpaper is part of the 25 best Winding Road shots of '06. Why exactly they made a photoshop a best photograph contender is beyond be. Whilst being a pretty good shot, there's nothing special other than the cars about it, and it's not a sinlge photograph. Just my $0.02.
