Question Does a Mitsubishi Montero have 3 catalytic converters?

I have a friend with a Mitsubishi Montero Sport, I'm not sure what year, but she has it in the shop and the mechanic is telling her that her third catalytic converter needs to be replaced. I have never heard of a car having three catalytic converters, only a three way catalytic converter. She double checked with the mechanic, and he confirmed that she does have three.

Does anyone know if Mitsubishi's have three catalytic converters? Do any cars have three catalytic converters?

Not sure about that model of Montero Sport but some Mitsu 4x4's do indeed have multiple catalytic converters.
