What alternator for my swap

Ok here is the breakdown, have a 95 ls teg with a b16 swap(yes i know,,why b16, it was like that when i bought it, ignorance yes). Now one of my buddies told me I have a SOHC alternator which is not good and it makes sense because If I let the car sit for more then a couple of days my car needs a jump. If I get a new battery a couple months later its the same thing.

So my question is what alternator do I get for my car? Do I get an alternator meant for the gsr or the civic si or are they the same?

Thanks for the help in advanced

Re: What alternator for my swap

why dont you take the B16 head and put it on the LS block...that would be a good combo because the B16 in the Teg is not going to be fun....my buddy James did that and it was pretty lame....then we built an LS/VTEC...problem solved

Umm that doesn't really answer my question, I am looking for what alternator to put in my teg, will any alternator from a DOHC work?
