97 Corolla not straight after front-end work
My gf's corolla just had front work done due to a loud noise so it was sent to a shop to get it fixed last week. I noticed when I was driving it after it was serviced at the shop, for the car to go straight, the steering wheel has to be pointed at 1oclock. It was aligned correctly before. I assume the mechanic didn't align something correctly after he replaced the parts and should fix it without charge?
Thank you |

Re: 97 Corolla not straight after front-end work
Yeah you would be correct in saying he didnt align everything right...it really wont hurt anything for the steering wheel to sit like that but if you want it fixed then you should take it back to the shop...and if they dont do it then you can usually get underneath the car if you look at where the steering rod comes out of the firewall...follow the rod down untill you find where you find the bolt connected to the rack and pinion...loosen it turn the steering wheel back to twelve oclock, and tightin the bolt agian.
