Re: is this intake worth it
Most of the CAI will give only 3-5 HP gain and I would be reluctant to buy any that did not get the filter out of the engine compartment as you will still be ingesting hot, power robbing air. If you can ind a ICEMAN on Ebay for your car I would consider that. I built my own using PVC or ABS tubing and a K&N filter, does it give more power, do not know but it sounds cool.

It looks like flexible tubeing that you would use to vent your dryer. Just 3" instead of 6" but you can get it in 3". Maybe just get some of that with a KnN filter with some hose clamps. Extend it right to the front corner under the battery. Perfect cold air intake.
I think I might try it

Re: is this intake worth it
As I said, if you can get it out of the engine compartment (up front as suggested) go for it. You can cut the thermogard away on front and sides (the battery cover if it is still in place), and then take the tray out, slot the hold down holes and slide the tray back as far as possible to give you more room to run the tubing down, and bolt it back in place.. Take the sensor and tie it off up front somewhere and I located the filter right behind the hole in the front grill where the sensor once took its' air intake.
