deciding between CRX and hatch
i am trying to find a 90-91 crx in my area, but the few for sale are too much. i know of several 90-91 hatchbacks around here, and was wondering whats the difference between them? specifically, how does the civic handleing compare to a rex's?
and how much more do they weigh? and as i type this i realize i havn't used the search button for this yet....but i am in a hurry. got to go somewhere right now. if this has been covered recently i wil search for it when i get back.

Re: deciding between CRX and hatch
Weight is a big issue IMO. My 91 crx weighs like 2175 lbs. My old 89 civic std weighed like 1900. There are things I miss about it, namely its light weight, which my crx cannot replicate. If I had to buy another one, I would probably get a low model, older hatch or 88-89 crx HF. The lower the model is, the lighter the car.
It also depends on what your gonna use the car for. My crx si is great for daily since I have AC and sunroof, etc. If its gonna be seeing the track, you want a lighter car. Also, If you want to fit more than 2 people in the car, get a hatch, if not get a rex.

Re: deciding between CRX and hatch
Ya know... I've had both several times over, and I've got to say.... the CRX is a driver's car. Lots of fun to drive, and if you learn to drive well, it can be one of the best, fastest cars on the road.
But my civic's were always more stable on the road, for the every day driver... They're both about the same speed in the end (especially with aftermarket mods) so there's no real difference there. And yes, the hatch was always good for carting around people and stuff, and still had room for a good sized sound system. CRX, hatch, or sedan.... if you've never owned any of them before, you'll like whatever you get.
