My Car dies !

I have a 1990 Olds. Delta 88 Royale Brouham 3.8 v-6 Auto.Trans. A/C .....
We are getting a code 42 intermittenly, and the engine dies, the car will restart with the check engine light on, limp in mode.
When we restart the engine check eng. light goes out, for a while driving then the engine will go dead again after about 15 mins. of driving. With the code 42, no other codes.
Crank shaft senor . Cam shaft sensor and magnet are ok, recently changed, and a new knock sensor. We suspect ignitions control module , because no other codes show up.
Such as crank shaft, cam shaft, or other sensors. Are we correct in assuming this at this pont ? Thank you for any help... Karen Froglover

Welcome to AF. Could be, no spark I assume? Check the wires to the icm harness they were troublesome, if ok AZ/ NAPA can test this for you.
