Question 2001 brake lights

I have a 01 Ram 1500 the brake lights have stopped working I have checked the fuses under the hood and the fuses on the side of the dash The tail lights work but none of the brake lights work I changed out the brake switch under the dash no luck. any thoughts would be helpful. I do not want to take to dealer and pay there High prices.Warranty just run out.....thanks

Bulbs?

Have you checked to see if the bulbs are still good? You could possibly have a short in the wiring somewhere between the switch under the dash and the actual brake lights. I can't think of anything else it could be off hand. Good luck.

Same thing happened to me today!

I took the truck to the dealer, but they had no idea how to fix it. They suggested I make an appointment to have them do a thorough check.




yeah, how much is that gonna cost?

Just fixed it!!!

#5 Stop Lamp Fuse, under the hood! In the fuse box, on the driver's side inside the engine compartment.
It is a 20 amp fuse.
