Re: carbon fiber engine cover

the engine black cover looks nice as long as you keep it clean. what does having an intake and exhaust have to do with being a ricer? intake headers and exhaust, you can net about 20whp, from the engine. its not much, but we want all the help we can get.

Re: carbon fiber engine cover

first of all i'm not trying to start shit...u guyz did.....its all up there, go back a few posts and try to remember......second of all...of course your sentra is better than mine, i've only had mine for a month....i've already taken care of the butterfly screws, and bought a header and aem cai.....so i working on it....and like i said before....the fucking nissan logo on the cover was already peelin when i bought the damn car, now if you could at least please be nice and tell me whether or not i can even find one of these somewhere .....you're gonna have to learn to live with the fact that we all have different taste and a forum is supposed to be a place to go to get help/info ....not hating from someone who doesn't like carbon fiber stuff.....to me it has nothing to do with it being light wieght, as a matter of fact...why would anyone with a front wheel drive car want to decrease the weight over their front wheels?????

Re: carbon fiber engine cover

because the sentra has a 67-33 weight ratio front to back and it handles like a frozen turd compared to if you relocate some of the weight to the back, like a lightweight hood and battery relocation. In drag racing is the only time you want a bunch of weight over your front tires and a more balanced car = faster lap times, turns > straight

wow you sound like one of those ignorant domestic numbskulls. so your saying because its a camaro, adding an intake and exhaust is ricing it out? get over yourself already. adding a carbon fiber engine cover thats probably gonna cost upwards of 400 bucks does in fact qualify as rice. you dont even know that the qr25 responds amazingly to bolt ons such as intake exhaust and cams...

heres an idea...make it actually look like a motor and take that stupid engine cover off. put it in the garbage where it belongs. engine covers are for the automotively ignorant to fool them into thinking that theres some sort of cool non-engine space age thing under the hood.
