Shell V-Power

I was looking at the V-Power gas by Shell and was wondering if it is worth putting into my car.

Re: Shell V-Power

It's, well, eh (shrugs shouldes). Gas is gas. Get it if you drive an STi that requires premium fuel, otherwise buy recommended octane rated fuel from the rundown gas station, use techron and save your money.

Re: Shell V-Power

if you need premium then yes it's worth putting in your car, otherwise your engine could knock, run poorly, etc.

if you don't need it (as in your owners manual doesn't specify premium or you haven't increased compression, advanced timing, installed a turbocharger or supercharger, etc) then it's just a waste of money.
