Malfunction Vehicle speed control

2000 Jetta, Automatic, 200,000KM.

What and how can I resolve and trouble shot a Malfunction Vehicle speed control check engine light.

may need to clean your throttle body, i had a idle adaption code and a speed control code and they both cleared after cleaning in a couple days.

That relates to your cruise control I believe. Does the speedometer randomly move when driving or wobble any?

it never affected my cruise control drove for over a year using cruise everyday cleared up with a 3 dollar can of throttle body cleaner from autozone
