No heat
My '96 Talon , which just had a new thermostat and radiator flush in December , is again showing the same signs of trouble . The temp. gauge isn't coming up and there's no heat at all . Last time this happened , it ended up with the car being un-able to stay running , and about $ 400 worth of work . Any ideas what could be going wrong this time .

Re: No heat
may sound dumb but did you make sure coolant was full or all air was out.

Re: No heat
Did you remember to hook up both coolant temp sensors when you installed the thermostat? There are 2 of them on the housing, one for the ECU and one for the gauge. If the ECU never sees the vehicle reaching operating temp, you will be running around in limp mode.
Do you have access to a logger? If so, you can check out the coolant temp. But since it sounds like both sensors are dead, since the car is running crappy and the gauge isn't moving, I would look at the thermostat you just installed. What was the temperature rating of the thermostat?
