Project Update: Spyder GS turbo

Hey, I haven't really done an update on my car since I've finished the turbo install. I've been busy enjoying it and perfecting the setup. Basically this update is just showing how far my car has changed in the past year. I took a couple new pics yesterday. So, leave me some comments and tell me what u like, dislike, what sucks, or w/e.

Engine:

So every body knows I converted the 4g64 to turbo, heres the list of crap I did:

-Cheap pacesetter header (on the 2nd one, cause 1st one broke after 3 weeks, second one was free though (warranty))
-14b turbo from your moderator thor06
-1g bov
-16g turbo install kit (stainless oil feed, dick pipe (j pipe),gaskets, bolts and crap)
-tapped the factory oil pan for the return line
-ran the coolant lines for the turbo from the throttle body return
-N1 downpipe
-factory catback with no cat
-450cc injectors from pr_ricer or blk_srt or w/e his SN is now, thanks!
-Walbro 190
-FMIC with aftermarket upper hard pipes and home made lower pipes
-Aftermarket intake pipe
-Cheap air filter I robbed off my blowed up Colt Vista ( my K&N was too big)
-a Fidanza short shifter and a Zoom stage 2 clutch that I still haven't put in
-Magnecor 8.5mm wires

Suspension:
-Eibach sportline springs
-KYB GR2 shocks
-RM racing front and rear sway bars (haven't installed the rear one yet)
-Megan front strut tower
-Brembo slotted rotors
-Hawk HPS pads
-painted calipers

Inside:
-Autometer tripple pod
-Autometer z series gauges: boost, egt, oil psi
-Cheap autometer autogauge tach
-SAFC 2
-Wideband O2 (ordering in the next few weeks)
-System delete: sold my Orion H2 sub and box, still got my HCCA 250r amp though and my HCCA sub, so I might do something else later.
-Sold the pioneer headunit for a kenwood

I know I left some stuff out but thats pretty much it, as far as the stuff I changed last summer.

Heres some pics I took yesterday:
Theres no new pics of the engine cause it was dirty, so if you want to see it, check out my website!

Re: Project Update: Spyder GS turbo

Also, I'm having a problem. I just realized that my BOV isnt even working so obviously I dont have the right vacuum source. Where exactly does the BOV vac. line go to on the intake manifold?

Re: Project Update: Spyder GS turbo

Heres the engine and interior pics. They were taken a while back but nothings changed. Since these pics I have actually mounted the SAFC 2 to the dash instead of it just dangling there like in the pics, lol. Enjoy.

Yea but don't forget the intake pipe, upper hard pipes, bov, and injector resistor pack.

Re: Project Update: Spyder GS turbo

Am I seeing something, or is the redline on the 4g64 6k? Shit even my dinky 420A auto redlines at 6.5k, and the manuals are at 7k. Why the hell did they keep it so low do you think?

Actually it redlines at like 6300 or so. And my 4g64 has almost a half a liter more displacement than your dinky 420a, and as you know the more stroke the less you can rev.

Re: Project Update: Spyder GS turbo

Yeah, has to do with rod ratios 'n shit. Also, the shitty flowing SOHC head wouldnt be able to make use of higher rpms. *cough cough* DOHC head swap *cough cough*

Remember, I still got the 6 bolt 4g64 block sitting on the table. *cough cough* donate me a DOHC 1g head! And you other bastards can donate some forged rods and pistons.
