Clock/Milage/Temperture Display

Does anyone know how to change the clock/milage/temperture display from the metric system to english? I have toyed with it and had no luck.

press the mpg button and take a sharp instrument to push the tiny button on the lower right once or twice and then it will change to U.S. settings
