e3 plugs from advance auto
Has anyone tried the e3 plugs from advance auto? a long time ago there was a discussion about not using the bosch 4 because pieces of the platinum eventually falls off into the cylinders. Does these e3's do the same? http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=960&PTSet=A
I have always stayed with the motorcraft because of this fact. My old cars I used the bosch 4 with good results and was disappointed to hear they don't hold up well with the escort.

Re: e3 plugs from advance auto
Same old story just a gimmick. Stay with the tried and true Autolites, Champion or Delco. You will save money in the long run!

Re: e3 plugs from advance auto
I have heard to maybe you could shed some light on for me but some plugs that claim to be platuim some (motorcraft) are platuim thoughout where as others just the electrode is platuim tipped. know if thats true?

Re: e3 plugs from advance auto
Can't confirm that one. I use autolite plugs (non-platinum) in my Escort. They are only a dollar per plug and so easy to change that I usually change them every two years. I get good mileage and good performance. I tried Bosch Platinums and got rid of them after about a year. Of course the plug you run is your choice.
