Which car is best?

Yo. I have a budget of $20k for one of these sport wagons I plan to buy in mid-2003, so I can soup 'em up somewhat. If you know of a similar car in the price range that's better then my choices, feel free to suggest it. And no, I don't like the Matrix.

i like the civic si..
or the mazda..
the civic is the best on the list for mods.. as usual..
but if you've got 20k to spend.. you could get something way better used.. but if your going new.. check out the sentra spec v i know it's not a wagon but it's very similar to those cars.. and will give you good bang for the buck...

What would you suggest as a lot better used? I've been thinking of a Saab or Legacy with a few k on the odometer as well.

Hey

Hey from the list I would have to go with the civic. You would have to be a crack head to use the pt for anything than a mobile bass tube. The subaru is already out. And a suzuki you have to be smoking something to put that on your list.

Impreza all the way, but I'd still get a Mark 3 GTI if you can find one. Much better then all that other junk. Aerio? Yuck.

The Impreza is good but if you can, chose a Golf.

If you want a new car, I would get the new mazdaspeed protege, it is right around $20,000 and you will be able to get a lot more power from it with aftermarket parts, like a turbo-back exhaust, front-mount intercooler, and boost controller. The stock output was kept low by mazda to protect the tranny, so finding ways to get more power from this car will be easy and this car will stick to the road like glue stock.
