Barsleak!!??

What do yall opinionate about barsleak gold pellets? Has anyone used them before?Do they work??

What are you trying to do stop a leak, or prevent one? The tablets are recommended for aluminum engines, and I do use them.

Caddy used to specifically require them in the 4.X engines. There was a sticker under the hood so stating. They stopped after the intro of the Northstar, ostensibly since they were only required because of the the cast iron heads on the aluminum block in the 4.X series. I suspect it had more to do with the pellets/powder making the AF look muddy, sending owners into spastic fits when the kid at the service station told them the AF looked "rusty".
I use the pellets in my 4.9, our Camry, my daughter's Mitsu, and my Chevy van. My opinion is that it may seal up minor dingers where corrosives have started eating at the head gaskets or minor porosities in the block and heads. It may be overkill, but major engine work costing what it does, it seems like cheap insurance.
