compressor clicks
i atleast found the screeching sound of my car before, the old compressor ceased...
but now that I replaced the AC compressor, which was a horrible and hard job (bracket bolts in near to impossible to reach places), and my father vaccumed and charged the stuff (he's HVAC certified to handle the freon for my car and stuff), sometimes when the clutch disengages, you hear a grinding sound, and I have to turn the AC on, then off again... This is a brand new Compressor from "Factory Air".. (same type I had before).. What can cause this? I'd imagine disengaging would be easy.. |

Re: compressor clicks
Sounds to me that the clutch is going. I can't be sure though without actually being there. Like it almost sounds like the clutch is trying to hold on, but can't quite keep locked.

Is there any checks I can do on the clutch? I have a removal tool for it.. |
