Axle Damper?

I got a 94 GT Conv. with 18 x 10.5" rear wheels (or wheel now). On Christmas Eve I hydro planed around a corner in the rain. It made the car do a 180 and catch the opposing curb side-ways with the passenger side back rim, breaking the lip. It was a small curb for it had a cut out for a business drive in and I caught it about half-way up to it's full size. I don't know the full extent of the damage yet for I had surgery on my hand and no funds to fix it but will soon return back to work. I can see visually that the axle had flexed enough that the rim had hit the axle damper and bent it. There is also a squeek that it makes when driven (I only drove it to my house since the accident on a 10.5" chrome bullet and a factory size wheel... lol. Funny sight)

If anyone could tell me where I could buy an axle damper because I can't seem to find one on any sights and I'm not much good with searching the web anyway that would be very helpful. Also, if anyone could offer any suggestions on what else I should check on in this kind of accident would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Jon

Re: Axle Damper?

Theres no such thing as an "axel damper". Can you describe the part you need? Maybe take a pic?
