Coolant leak

I have a 1996 K-1500 4x4 with a 5.7, I am seeing some coolant coming out of the top of the engine block right in between the thermostat and the intake manifold is. I don't see it leaking from the thermostat but it looks like it might be coming from the intake, anyone had that problem or know where it could be coming from?

Re: Coolant leak

Check the pewter fitting that the heater hose connects to.

You may have to borrow a pressure tester to get it up to 15 pounds before it starts leaking.

Re: Coolant leak

That heater hose connector is where my leak was. Be prepared for it
to break if you mess with it. Search this site for more info.
