Lightbulb

By random I found a website :
http://www.extinguishersdirect.com

We can buy extinguishers for home, cars, boats or whatever.

This company is in UK.

Perhaps I will buy one, and you ?

is this a joke? or are they serious??
Why would we need an extinguisher?
I understand drag racers and stuff, but not us, normal drivers.

I already have one

Its not the purpose that you will need one, but someone around you might need it. I do a lot of offroading and if something were to catch fire and no one had an extinguisher they would be in deep trouble. I wouldnt expect a normal car to have one though.

Food for thought

I've seen normal road cars with extinguishers. You never know what might happen. Its a good idea in performance cars. Engines can catch fire.

Actually i've seen alot of cars with aluminum looking fire extinguishers...They're mainly for show...i think they don't look too bad either...my neighbor has one in his suped up accord...and i've seen alot here in Gainesville with other suped up cars. Its mainly for show, but then you never know when a fire might bust out

I personally dont have one of those small chrome ones for one good reason. When Engines or whatever burns they tend to burn big so I choose to get a larger one. Just personal perference.

Thumbs down

A site dedicated entirely to fire extinguishers? What happened to the concept of people having lives?

Accidents happen every day. Engines catch fire too. It's basically just a good idea...never can be too prepared.

And who knows....Iraq might retaliate.

What I mean to say is that there are large stores that sell these kinds of things as well as many other things, and it's useless and unprofitable to make an entire fire extinguisher "store".

I think it is a good idea to have a fire extinguisher because like somebody said you never know what might happen in your car or around your car.
It is a page dedicated to extinguishers because it is what this company sells it is not because they have no life. If you looked you would have seen that they are all about safety they sell other safety devices as well on that same page.
Thank-you and have a good day *lol*

Talking Extinguishers save life.

I think that ThunderFish911 comment is rather immature when he says people should have lives.
Does he realise that extinguishers can actually save lives !

Whoa, NO SHIT!!!! I said that you don't need stores dedicated to fire extinguishers, and there are larger stores that deal with other shit and sell them alongside perfectly good fire extinguishers. Band-Aids can save people's lives, too, but when's the last time you saw a store selling only bandages? It's like opening a store that only sells the metal straight-edges found on wooden rulers. Gee, wow, I thought fire extinguishers were some kind of computer accessory!
