Stranded - Need Help! 2000 Regal Won't Fire

I have a 2000 regal ls and when I came out of work to go home the car did crank two times but stopped cranking before the engine would catch. Plenty of gas. I tried jumping it and no change. I tried jumping the starter with the key ON and the car cranks good but does not fire.

I am 94 miles away from home and have no other way of getting there.

If someone could please clue me in as to what might be happening it would be most appreciated. I can get to a parts store to get whatever I need.

Thanks!

Rich

Check the battery terminals and the main ground on the car. If it cranks good when you jump the starter there is something causing an issue between the ignition switch and the battery. Also make sure you are getting gas to the engine. Just because you have gas doesn't mean the fuel pump is working. If you have some starting fluid spray it into the throttle body while turning the engine over. If it starts the problem is with the fuel pump and you will probably need to have the car towed home. If not check the coils and the ignition module for good connections. But this sounds like a wiring and fuel issue to me.
