DPFE Removal
I am just wondering how the DPFE is removed off my 2001 Taurus with a Vulcan engine. It appears as if it justs pops off but I don't want to try til I know for sure.My Haynes manual only shows instructions for the Duratech for ths procedure.

Re: DPFE Removal
Care to post what it did take so you can help out the next guy to run into this?

Re: DPFE Removal
It's just as it appears, it pulls right off. Give it a good yank and wiggle and comes off. The new one pushes right on. The Haynes manual does not show the directions for the dpfe for the OHV engine just the DOHC. The guy at the parts store had just did the one on his Taurus this past weekend also so he told me what to do. Only took a minute.
