Car Audio Installation

Hi,
I bought my '92 Geo Prizm used about a year ago, 89,000 miles. But that doesnt matter.

The speakers in the car are terrible. I just got some new speakers for both the front and rear, but Im not quite sure how to go about installing them.

Anyone know any links, or have any blueprints, or even just a few words of advice for the best way to do this job? I dont want to go tearing my dash out if I dont need to. Thanks!

Re: Car Audio Installation

If they are like mine, you should have one on each side of the dash under the outer vents. You can pull off the grates to get to the speakers, but only a 3 inch or so will go back in. Thought about running the wires to the doors and putting bigger ones in, but haven't done it. Did replace the rear ones, hooked them up, but haven't cut the shelf yet to drop them in.

There's only two wires to hook up to each speaker, the stripped ones are usually the negative ones and the solid colors are positive. Just hook them up and off you go.
